If so, do you wear the description with pride? Or regard it as a curse?
As humans we are open-ended
And just like taking an English exam at school it’s impossible to be 100%.
There are too many variables and ways of seeing things.
So
Why do we often beat ourselves up when we think we’re not perfect ?
The Navajo Indians believed that humans should not aspire to the same level as the gods.
They left small imperfections in their beautiful rugs so the gods would not be angered.
Likewise if the Christmas
- presents are not perfect
- dinner is not perfect
- tree is not perfect
But all the family is relaxed and smiling, isn’t that a better place to be?
Far better to let go of the 100% target. Perfection carries its own alienating problems and barriers after all.
We are mere mortals and can leave flawlessness to the gods.
And everyone around is will be better for it.
