It may seem an obvious statement that we want to achieve our goals. Of course we do, but we don’t always find achieving goals easy. Sometimes other things seem to get between you and where you want to be or what you want to do.
These can take the form of procrastination, or simply embracing obstacles unconsciously which stop you getting there.
In sport or the performing arts the path to the goal is clear and visible. But if the aim is to achieve a promotion at work, conquer a fear of public speaking, pass an exam or to grow your own business, there is still an element of competition involved, with the aim to be the best you can be.
