I had previously tried hypnotherapy for my hyperacusis (noise sensitivity) and tinnitus but with someone who wanted to talk about themselves more than me and so I got very little actual hypnosis.
Juliet schedules a free Zoom session to chat to you to get to know you and see how receptive you would be to her treatment, and after a very positive experience there, I booked six sessions, which I have just completed. Juliet is a great listener, which anyone who engages with me has to be. Having tried hypnotherapy before, and generally suffered a lot with conditions others have (falsely?) claimed to be able to help me with, I am generally pessimistic when it comes to any treatments. However, after the first session I defnitely felt I was not suffering as much or for as long as I previously had and I just felt generally more positive and optimistic about my condition and life in general.
In the extensive chats we had before the trance/hypnosis, a lot of the advice she gave me made sense and correlated a lot of what I was experiencing. I would not say at this point that my hyperacusis is completely cured but this is an issue I have had for close to 10 years now, so I was not expecting anything to happen overnight. What I would say is that I am learning not to immediately think to is going to be triggered by the usual factors and to try and think ,more positively. I do think the symptoms are less severe when triggered and do not last as long, and I am not constantly aware of them causing me pain, discomfort and distraction, and I only know they are there when I stop and think.
In addition to the sessions, Juliet also makes you a recording to listen to at night. This has been of great use in helping me fall asleep , and apparently you can still get great benefit even after falling asleep. I am optimistic that if I continue to listen to this and put into practice what Juliet has taught me, my condition can only continue to improve

Juliet was a grounding force throughout my sessions, she consistently drew me back into the present in a way no other therapies have done. The difference was that Juliet does not lend you her strength or provide a space to escape or offset the chaos in life.
In her approach, she draws out your own strength before you, resisting Ermly against any anxiety and repeats this act until you memorise it. This weakens the psychological habits that embrace negative thoughts, and strengthens the process of critically thinking about your emotional reactions before accepting them.
